Race Day Opportunities

Buy yourself a shower, a meal, a cot, or a raffle ticket to help benefit the local community!

A mission of Cascade Relays is supporting the communities we run through as much as possible…Here’s how you can help! Our biggest fundraising opportunity is the Hire-a-Volunteer program. Through the HAV program for CLR2015, we contributed over $40,000 to local charities and school groups and our goal is $50,000 this year!

We also support several local fundraisers during the event and over $16,000 was raised at CLR2015. These additional fundraising opportunities have raised over $54,000 since 2008! Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year for these amazing groups that contribute so much towards the family feel at CLR.

Additional Community Fundraising:

FOOD DRIVE Bring two boxes of canned goods to the start line to support La Pine Community Kitchen. Last year 3400 lbs of food was donated and our goal is 4000 lbs this year!

VAN RENTAL Rent a 15 passenger van from Boys & Girls Club of Bend! For a $500 tax deductible contribution, you’ll have use of a 15-passenger van Thursday through Sunday and Boys & Girls Club even cleans the van after the race!

QUILT RAFFLE North Lake High School Athletics will raffle a hand-made quilt for $5 per ticket. Purchase your raffle ticket at Silver Lake Ex Pt #12 and the winner will be announced during the awards ceremony at the Finish!

SHOWER SPOT #1 Hot Showers in La Pine! La Pine High School Football will have clean towels and a hot shower for a suggested donation of $10 at La Pine High School!

RENT A COT Sleep on a cot rather than hardwood floor at LPHS and support the La Pine Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop. There are only 200 cots but for a suggested donation of just $10, you’ll be supporting the community and hopefully sleep better!

PANCAKES La Pine Pancake Breakfast. If you still think your mom makes the best pancakes, you haven’t had the pancakes at LPHS from the new La Pine Lions Club food trailer! They will have pancakes and Straw Propeller Oatmeal available. Cascade Relays contributed an additional grant of $4,000 to fund the new trailer.

KAYAK RAFFLE La Pion Lions Club will be selling raffle tickets for one winner to get a new KAYAK! Look for this raffle at La Pine High School.

SHOWER SPOT #2 Hot Showers at Mt Bachelor – Ex Pt #30. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Oregon will have clean towels and a shower token for a suggested donation of $10 at Mt Bachelor West Village.

RIVER FLOAT Float the River at the finish line. Boys & Girls Club of Bend will provide float tubes for a suggested donation of $10 at Riverbend Park! The float to the Colorado Dam takes 40 minutes and it’s just a quick walk back to the finish line. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Club of Bend and Girls on the Run!

Thank you for supporting our communities and always leaving a positive impact on the people you encounter during the race. We never get tired of hearing how friendly and amazing the Cascade Relays family of participants are, so thank you in advance for your generosity and positive spirit!
