August 1-2, 2014
The 2014 Cascade Lakes Relay is full. However, we still have two charity team slots (minimum donation of $5000) and a few corporate sponsorship team slots available. Please contact us for more information on how you may take advantage of these opportunities.
We also invite you to check out our other event, the Spokane to Sandpoint Relay. With a stunningly scenic course, 60 miles of Centennial trail, numerous lakes and rivers and a beachside finish, the S2S is a wonderful alternative to the Cascade Lakes Relay. All the same staff who produce the CLR will be up in Washington to serve you on race weekend.
As a small, boutique relay, CLR offers a different experience with more amenities:
- A free craft beer at the finish for all participants and volunteers – choose from 30 beers available from our local craft beer sponsors
- A Team Captain gift to thank you for your extra work
- Professional timing of all 36 legs with live updates during the race
- A free medical team available for everything from blisters to heat injuries
- An extra “veteran” shirt for every 5 years you participate
- Personalized bibs with your team name
- Enough porta potties so you’re never waiting for more than a few people
- Water Ambassadors to offer water or a spray down when you’re hot
- A gorgeous, challenging course through the diverse terrain of Southern & Central Oregon
- No traffic!
Come join us and experience the difference yourself!
Congratulations to the 2,400 finishers of the 2013 CLR!
Wow, what a weekend! Starting with a new start line on the beach of Diamond Lake and ending with a new finish line at Riverbend Park in Bend, the 6th Annual CLR was truly a year to remember. The weather couldn’t have been better and spirits were high as 200 teams made their way to the finish line on Saturday, featuring the 1st Annual CLR Brewfest with free beer for participants & volunteers from 10 local craft breweries.
Online results can be found here. Division Winners and Contest Winners will be listed here. Pictures will continue to be added here. Please contribute your own photos to this flicker album or to our facebook page!
The Cascade Lakes Relay was the first overnight relay in the country to professionally time all 36 legs, which was quite a feat. Imagine – every CLR exchange is open as long as a marathon finish line, and on average we have 6-8 exchange points open at a time, so we were essentially timing 6 marathons at a time, 6 times in a row, over 36 hours. It took 10 NSPiRE staff and 30 other staff to pull this off. We look forward to improving the timing next year, but we hope everyone enjoyed not having to time yourselves! You can access all of your leg splits and download a PDF for your team here. Please send any questions about results to email@example.com.
Thank you to the 400 incredible volunteers who made this event possible, as well as our sponsors and partners. This is truly a community event and couldn’t happen without support and coordination from countless organizations and agencies. The Cascade Lakes Relay raised over $35,000 for our local non-profit and community groups!
The CLR has quickly become one of Oregon’s most popular running and walking events, providing a beautiful course with minimal traffic and the intimate feel of a small but professional event. Every aspect of the CLR is world-class, from our socially responsible tech shirts to our medals to our course amenities and finish line. This unique course features a variety of Oregon terrain, from the lakes of Southern Oregon to the marsh & red hills of Eastern Oregon to the Mountains of Central Oregon. Starting in Diamond Lake and finishing in Bend, you have the perfect Oregon vacation with destinations at the start & finish. In addition, the CLR raises over $35,000 annually for small local non-profits and community groups!
